Following the transfer of Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana S.p.A.’s Transmission and Broadcasting Division from Rai to Rai Way, the company was also granted the technical knowledge, the ownership of infrastructure and systems, and the human capital necessary to transmit and broadcast television and radio programmes throughout Italy and abroad.

For over twenty years we have been building and renewing the networks that carry content and information, accompanying the country through its digital evolution.

The new company brought together the experience, expertise and sense of responsibility of those who first introduced radio and television to Italy, ensuring for decades that audiences could access high-quality audiovisual content.
In the years that followed, we played a leading role in one of the most significant technological transitions in broadcasting: the switch from analogue to digital terrestrial television. Completed in 2012, this process marked a revolution in the way broadcast content is produced, distributed and consumed.
In 2014, with our listing on the Italian Stock Exchange, a new chapter began in our story: Rai Way became a company able to engage directly with the financial markets, attract investors and diversify its commercial offering. From that moment, our industrial strategy has focused on the growth of digital infrastructure, the expansion of broadcasting networks and ongoing technological innovation.
Today, in line with the 2024–2027 Industrial Plan, Rai Way stands at the center of a new phase of profound transformation aimed at strengthening and diversifying its business. The company is establishing itself as a provider of integrated digital infrastructure and solutions, with over 6,000 km of fibre-optic connectivity, a network of Data Centers combined with private cloud solutions, and the deployment of a proprietary edge content delivery network.
