Rai Way attends MAF - Milano Audiovisual Forum 2025

Rai Way: Strategic Partner of MAF 2025 – Digital Infrastructures driving audiovisual evolution

Rai Way is the official partner of the MAF 2025 – Milano Audiovisual Forum, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the digital transformation of Italy.

Participation in the event, scheduled for 8–9 October, represents a valuable opportunity to share Rai Way’s vision for the future of the audiovisual industry with professionals and stakeholders from across the sector.
Alongside its traditional television and radio broadcasting networks, Rai Way now operates an Edge Content Delivery Network (Edge CDN) designed to optimise the distribution of live and on-demand video content over IP networks.

At present, eight nodes are active across Italy — in Rome, Milan, Turin, Naples, Bari, Palermo, Venice, and Bologna.

This network is based on an architecture of locally and nationally interconnected caches, linked with major Internet Service Providers through private and public peering agreements, ensuring low latency, neutrality, security, and service continuity.

Complementing this infrastructure, Rai Way has developed a network of Edge Data Centres and offers a Cloud Object Storage service, enabling the efficient management of large data volumes through the automatic creation of multiple distributed copies across several nodes.

The result is a fully Italian edge-to-cloud solution, guaranteeing data sovereignty, reliability, and proximity, even in less connected areas of the country.

During MAF 2025, Rai Way will present practical use cases in the Media & Broadcasting field, demonstrating how its digital solutions enable integrated content management — from organisation and multi-platform distribution to secure archiving.
