MSCI's ESG rating upgrade: Rai Way moves from "BBB" to "A"

After the recent upgrades by CDP and Sustainalytics, Rai Way has also received further recognition from MSCI, with an overall rating that has risen from "BBB" to "A".

MSCI ESG Research provides sustainability ratings to international listed and unlisted companies on a scale from "AAA" (leader) to "CCC" (laggard), based on their exposure to sector-specific ESG risks and their ability to manage these risks compared to peers.

In the case of Rai Way, the progress made compared to the 2020 report demonstrates the efforts and results obtained with the implementation of the Sustainability Plan initiatives, recognised in particular in the areas of "Carbon Emissions" (score 10/10) and "Privacy & Data Security" (9.1/10) and with the progressive improvements highlighted on "Labor Management" and "Corporate Behaviour".
